Tamsin is a member of our litigation team.  She qualified as a Legal Executive in 1997 and joined Mortons Law in June 2020 after many years at a large North East firm.  She has extensive litigation experience, specialising in accidents at work, public and occupier’s liability claims, industrial disease claims, road traffic accidents and credit hire.

Nicola has worked within the legal profession since leaving school in 1998 initially in an administrative support role before embarking on professional legal training.

In 2009, Nicola completed her Level 3 Professional Diploma in Law and Practice and as a result, was admitted as an Associate Legal Executive with the Institute of Legal Executives on 1st September 2009; Nicola is currently studying towards her Level 6 Diploma in Law and Practice.

Nicola works at both our Seaham and Sunderland offices and specialises in most types of Civil Litigation, including debt recovery. Nicola spends around 30% of her time on debt recovery matters. Nicola also has experience of Accelerated Housing Possession Claims on behalf of Landlords. As well as having her own case load dealing with small claims matters, Nicola assists Janine Hobson in the preparation of more complex higher value cases.

In addition Nicola also has significant experience in Probate matters and the distribution of estates.

Daniel joined Mortons in September 2019 having worked at several specialist firms in the Newcastle and Durham area. Following his undergraduate degree, Daniel completed his LPC and Masters at the University of Sunderland and graduated in 2017. 

Daniel is a Trainee Solicitor and is currently working in the private client and litigation teams. Daniel wrote his masters thesis on the protections afforded to start-up businesses and has a keen interest in commercial law, litigation and public speaking.

Daniel is on the committee of the Law Society’s Junior Lawyers Division (JLD) in the North East as well as the Sunderland Law Society.
